A coding error occurred on the Water Dashboard while the East Kaweah GSA staff were finalizing invoices for Allocation Year 2024. The issue was quickly identified and has since been resolved.
What Happened:
To complete the water year, the Water Dashboard developer is required to run a script on the Water Dashboard to close out all unsubmitted credit transfers. During this process, a coding error occurred that cleared a number of landowners’ credit deal transactions.
To resolve, the developer fell back to the pre-script backup, resolved the script error, and completed the year end process.
Resolution:
East Kaweah GSA staff worked to promptly resolve the issue. The GSA is committed to transparency and ensuring your available credits and invoices are accurately reflected in the Water Dashboard. East Kaweah GSA will continue to update landowners on any and all issues and will continue to act quickly to any future issues.
Though an exhaustive quality assurance/quality control process indicates that all issues have been resolved, East Kaweah GSA is extending the Allocation Year 2024 invoicing period. The original deadline for growers to make changes to their statements was April 15. Growers now have until May 16 to review their accounts, adjust their priority of use and purchase credits on the Credit Manager before final invoices are mailed on June 1. Payments are due by June 30.
More information on the Allocation Year 2024 invoicing period extension is available on our blog here.
Next Steps:
While the error has been resolved, landowners are encouraged to log into their Water Dashboard accounts to review their statements by the May 16 deadline.
