Last month on June 7, our member agency the Lindmore Irrigation District hosted their Annual Open House. The Board, General Manager Mike Hagman, Assistant General Manager Chris Hunter, and staff connected with landowners to focus on achieving reliable and sustainable water supplies.

In just 24 months, Lindmore’s leadership on water supply sustainability led to the construction of four new recharge facilities and the successful recharge of over 15,000 acre-feet during the 2023 water year. Thanks to projects and the work of growers to take surface water and reduce pumping, Lindmore has greatly reduced groundwater pumping, resulting in a remarkable 30-40 feet rise in groundwater levels on average.
