East Kaweah GSA’s Allocation Year 2024 invoicing period has begun. Growers’ statements are available for review on their Water Dashboard accounts. East Kaweah GSA encourages landowners to review their statements and, if necessary, adjust their priority of use with the Credit Manager tool on the Water Dashboard before the April 15th deadline. After April 15th, invoices will be finalized and mailed to growers.
Growers should make adjustments to your automated statement if:
- You want to hold onto surface water supplies for future allocation years. Your statement was generated to automatically pull from available surface water supplies to limit your overdraft.
- You want to hold onto groundwater credits for future use, and rely on using more surface water supplies instead. You can adjust this ratio however works best for your operation.
- You want to purchase credits to reduce your overdraft fees and penalties. Overdrafting above your native yield results in a one-for-one reduction in your 2025 native yield if you do not have the groundwater credits to reach the 2.5/AF hard cap, and is more expensive than most of the credits available to you right now for purchase. Learn more about these credits in our post here.
