The East Kaweah GSA Board of Directors voted unanimously at their January 23rd meeting to participate in the Local Agency Investment Fund (LAIF), an investment program for public agencies. LAIF offers local agencies the opportunity to participate in a portfolio which invests money with the expertise of the State Treasurer’s Office investment staff. There is no additional cost to taxpayers for East Kaweah GSA’s involvement in the program.

The board believes this is the best option to keep investments safe and liquid, and to keep the GSA’s assets secure.
