Several surface water purveyors have notified East Kaweah GSA that there are discrepancies with the Allocation Year (AY) 2022 surface water data they previously provided to East Kaweah GSA. East Kaweah GSA is making every effort to make the billing process and water use reporting accurate and is actively working with these agencies and landowners to acquire updated surface water data. East Kaweah GSA has also requested AY 2023 data and is working with all its surface water purveyors to accomplish accurate monthly updates for AY 2024.

East Kaweah GSA understands that implementing the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) has come with challenges for our landowners and surface water agencies that serve our communities. Adapting to new processes, rules, and regulations requires coordination and diligence, and the GSA is committed to the iterative process to get things accomplished correctly.
